Policies

At Five 9’s Solutions Ltd, we believe in sustainable development, and we are committed to effective management of Health, Safety and the Environment (HSE) standards as an integral part of our operations. The health and safety of our employees and stakeholders who may be impacted by the company’s operations is of paramount importance to our organisation and our aim is zero harm to people and to the environment of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago or any other location in which we may operate.

We are cognisant of the Occupational, Safety and Health Act No. 1 of 2004 as amended by Act No. 3 of 2006. The United Nation's 17 Sustainable Development Goals for the period 2015-2030 has also guided our actions as a responsible organisation and as proof of our commitment, we’ve made direct efforts to mitigate and / or eliminate incidents and we’ve implemented measures to assist in this regard.

Additionally, we’ve undertaken to provide and maintain Workmen’s Compensation and Public Liability Insurance policies to the tune of 2.5 and 1 million dollars each to further bolster our HSE efforts.

Given the advent of Covid-19, the directives of the World Health Organisation (WHO), the Ministry of Health (MOH), the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago (GORTT) and other related entities, we’ve heightened and expanded our scope for health and safety to include adherence to safety protocols, including, but not limited to, frequent washing of hands, sanitising of high impact surfaces, social distancing, mask wearing, vaccination and other related activities, where appropriate.

As guided by the Occupational Safety and Health Authority and Agency (OSHA); where applicable, we undertake to:

• Ensure safety of plant and systems of work;

• Provide arrangements for safe use, handling, storage and transport of equipment, machinery, articles and substances;

• Provide appropriate personal protective clothing or devices;

• Provide the necessary information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary;

• Maintain the workplace in a safe condition and ensure the provision of safe means of getting in and out;

• Provide safe working environment with adequate welfare facilities (toilets, changing rooms, washing facilities, drinking water etc.).

Five 9’s Solutions Ltd adheres to this policy, which is implemented throughout our business. The content and robustness of implementation of this policy will be reviewed periodically and revised accordingly and includes sharing best practices throughout the organisation.

We will also measure progress against this policy and review performance on a periodic basis to ensure ongoing management of Health, Safety and Environment.

The Quality Policy of Five 9’s Solutions Ltd forms the framework for the setting of "SMART" quality objectives in alignment with our overall strategic business plan for the period 2018 - 2021.

In 2018, our organisation sought and acquired formal training in the most current Quality Management standard ISO 9001: 2015.

In 2019, plans are also afoot to receive formal training for the following:

• ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management Systems

• ISO 45001: 2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems

Five 9’s Solutions Ltd is committed to maintaining a comprehensive quality operation, based on the management principles and requirements of the current version of international quality management standards.

We aim to achieve this by continuously monitoring and improving our processes and performance with respect to business efficiency, with the goal of significantly reducing the probability of errors or defects.

The Management Team of Five 9’s Solutions Ltd remains accountable for the effectiveness of the Quality System and for leading, supporting and encouraging the Quality and Project Management Team and other staff and subcontractors to contribute to its effectiveness.

To measure our success in meeting its quality objectives Five 9’s Solutions Ltd will:

• Ensure effective monitoring and audit of all projects in accordance with our owninternal and contractual requirements

• Commission regular business and quality reviews, both internally and with our clientsin accordance with their requirements

• Maintain contact with our clients throughout the life of each project to ensure timelyresponse to issues, mitigate risk and apply corrective action as necessary and

• Engage clients in follow up activities including, but not limited to, questionnaires,interviews and other tools used for evaluating performance and delivering quality

The Management Team continuously reviews its operations and communicates any changes through its team leaders. The Team also formally reviews Policies and objectives for quality together with our operational processes and feedback at our Quality Management Review Meetings, held on a minimum of an annual basis in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 9001: 2015 standard.
